Figure Guide: Bandai D-Arts Pokémon Releases (I Choose You!)

mewtwodartsbandai.jpgAfter previous Digimon, Medabots, and Megaman  releases, Bandai’s Digital Arts line has announced it will debut figures from the Pokémon franchise.

With lots of mass-molded Pokémon merchandise flooding American toy stores over the holidays, the D-Arts collection caught my attention because they are of good quality,  and are possibly the first fully articulated Pokémon ever. Plus, their effects parts are included.

So far, Tamashii Nation has announced four figures. The first, from a ruined lab on Cinnabar Island, is the intimidating, psychic Mewtwo.

I hope Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur come with mini-figures of their cute 1st-evolution counterparts (Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur). Also, it would be fun to see my favorite Pokémon: Meowth. What’s your favorite Pokémon?

  1. These figures look so good. Collecting figures is one aspect of Otakudom that I have avoided though as I don’t have room. I always used to use Blastoise back when I played Pokemon. My favourite would have to be Jigglypuff or maybe Haunter.

  2. These look amazing! I hope the come out with the legendarys from Ruby/Sapphire, Groudon and Kyogre (/^▽^)/

  3. That Mewtwo and Charizard are pretty fantastic looking.
